LYNDA ROBB WILL READ TO PULASKI CHILDREN

The former first lady of Virginia will be in Pulaski on Thursday to read to the children as part of her work in the Reading Is Fundamental program.

Lynda Robb will appear at the Pulaski County Library at 1 p.m. and at the Northwood Elementary School at 2 p.m. to do a storytime reading. The program is designed to encourage children to discover the joys of reading.

Robb, a founding and current member of RIF's board of directors, has worked with the organization for 26 years, getting involved at the behest of her mother, Lady Bird Johnson. The Pulaski library received an LBJ Family Foundation grant last year for outstanding services in motivating children to read.
