OBIT-MORRIS, MAY PERDUE

MORRIS, May Perdue, 87, of Rocky Mount, died Wednesday, September 1, 1993, in the local hospital. She was a member of the Oak Grove Church of the Brethren, and was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Morris, a son James Earlie Morris, and a daughter-in-law, Peggy Hodges Morris. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Tena and Buford Hall, Jo Anne and Dennis Walker, all of Rocky Mount; one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Inez Morris, Rocky Mount; a daughter-in-law, Anna B. Morris, Rocky Mount; four grandchildren, Mike Hall, Steve Morris, Susan LaRosa and Gregg Walker; one stepgrandson, Brad Lawson; one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Hall; two brothers, Harry Perdue, Rocky Mount, and Willie C. Morris, Monroe Falls, Ohio; also several nieces and nephews including a special niece, Shirley Spencer. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 1993, at the Arrington-Bussey Chapel with the Rev. Curtis English officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Arrington-Bussey Funeral Home, Rocky Mount.
