OBIT-LAPRADE, DAVID NEWTON

LaPRADE, David Newton, 42, of San Diego, Calif., formerly of Roanoke, died Tuesday, August 31, 1993. He was a native of Roanoke, graduated from William Fleming High School and attended Bluefield College and Carson-Newman College, and was retired from the United States Navy. He is survived by two sons, Jonathan David LaPrade, Joshua Jonmichael LaPrade, both of Elmira, N.Y.; his parents, Roy and June LaPrade; one sister, Teresa LaPrade, all of Roanoke; his grandmother, Mrs. Willie Mae Chambers, Beckley, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted from Summerdean Church of the Brethren 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 4 with the Rev. James R. Worline officiating. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
