ROANOKE IS AMONG CITIES `GREASE' WILL PLAY IN `93

Broadway's ``Grease'' is coming to the Roanoke Civic Center on Nov. 19 in its 1993 Barnstorming America Tour that will take it to 36 cities.

The musical, turned into a movie starring Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta in 1978, will play at 8 p.m. in the auditorium. It was the first musical written by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, and it hit the Broadway in February 1972.

Tickets for ``Grease,'' the third-longest-running show on Broadway, are $21.50-$24.50, and go on sale Sept. 11 at all TicketMaster outlets and the box office. You can also charge by phone at 343-8100.
