`CHALK TALK' SERIES STARTS AT TECH

If you've ever wondered about the "Oil Market and U.S. Security," "Who is smarter, Marilyn or Your Average Ph.D.?" "The Moral Depravity of Santa Claus," or "Does Studying Improve Grades?" then you should attend the upcoming "Chalk Talks" at Virginia Tech.

Sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences, the discussions will look at such things as the way psychology makes a difference, media violence and Virginia's endangered species.

The programs begin today at 10 a.m. and will continue on each home football game morning. Coffee will be served before each session at 9:30 a.m. in the Geological Sciences Museum, 2062 Derring Hall.

The first discussions today are "Proportional Representation" in government in 1076 Derring Hall; "Interpreting the Constitution" in 3076 Derring Hall; and "Grades and Studying" in 3092 Derring Hall. There is no charge. For more information, call 231-5874.
