FINANCIAL REPORTING BY PULASKI HONORED

The Government Finance Officers Association will award a certificate of achievement to the town of Pulaski for excellence in financial reporting.

The award will be presented Tuesday to town Finance Director Mildred E. Bolen at a meeting of Pulaski Town Council.

The certificate is the professional association's highest form of recognition for governmental accounting and financial reporting. Pulaski was chosen for the award for its comprehensive annual financial report.

The report was judged by an impartial panel to meet standards including the demonstration of a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate the financial status and make it easy for people to read.

The association, with offices in Chicago and Washington, serves 12,625 government finance professionals in the United States and Canada.
