OBIT-VEST, HAROLD L.
VEST, Harold L., 75, of Fairfax, formerly of Floyd, passed away Friday,
September 3, 1993 in a Northern Virginia Hospice Center. He was born in Floyd,
the son of James B. and Louella F. Vest. He was an active member of the Oakton
Church of the Brethren. He was a carpenter in the norther Virginia area for
over fifty years. He is survived by his wife, Aldean Sowers Vest, Fairfax; two
sisters, Virginia B. Peters, Bedford, and Edith V. Sweeney, Floyd; three
brothers, Randolph (Monk) H. Vest Sr, Salem, Irvin W. Vest, Roanoke, and
William (Bill) E. Vest, Radford. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m
Sunday at the Oakton Church of the Brethren in Fairfax. Funeral service will
be 11 a.m. Monday at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with interment in
Jacksonville Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday after 5 p.m. at Gardner Funeral
Home, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family
request memorial contributions be made to the Oakton Church of the Brethren.
