MONTANO ANNIVERSARY

Philip and Marie Montano celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary on Sunday, September 5th, 1993. They recommitted their love for one another at the Most Holy Mass at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Andrews Catholic Church. A reception was held at the Airport Marriott ballroom hosted by their children and grandchildren.

The couple was married in New Jersey on September 6th, 1943. Mr. Montano is president of Montano's Restaurant. Mrs. Montano is a retired teacher from Roanoke City Schools.

Their children are Marianne McDowell and husband, Thomas, Marilyn Montano, Michele Dowdy and husband, John, and Marty Montano. They have 8 grandchildren.
