OBIT DOBBINS, ETHEL MOORE
DOBBINS, Ethel Moore, 72, of 1024 Cliftwood Circle, Clifton Forge, died
Friday evening, September 3, 1993, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born
in Gallup, Ky. on June 2, 1921, daughter of the late Lee and Georgia Meade
Moore. She was a retired manager for High's Ice Cream, a member of Clifton
Forge Baptist Church and Winsome-Seekers Bible Class. She is survived by her
husband, John Harvey Dobbins Sr. of Clifton Forge; two daughters, Mrs. Nolan
(Lydia) Nicely of Route 1, Clifton Forge and Mrs. Mitchell (Katherine) Morgan
of Selma; two sons, Frank E. Dobbins of Salem and John Harvey Dobbins Jr. of
Clemmons, N.C.; one sister, Mrs. Melvina Wiley of Gallup, Ky.; two brothers,
Ballard Moore of Salyersville, Ky. and Sherman Moore of Gallup, Ky.; ten
grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held
Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Clifton Forge Baptist Church with the Dr. Conrad Johnston
officiating. Interment will follow in the Alleghany Memorial Park, Low Moor.
The body will be placed in the Church one hour prior to services and the
family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 8:30 at Nicely Funeral
Home, or anytime at the residence.
