OBIT COSGROVE, DONALD RICHARD
COSGROVE, Donald Richard, 70, of 105 Shore Drive, Huddleston, passed away
Sunday, September 5, 1993, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was
born August 2, 1923, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, a son of the late George A.
Cosgrove Sr. and Charlotte Goble Cosgrove. He was retired personnel manager of
the Brunswick Corporation, was a member of the Royal Oak Presbyterian Church,
Marion, and was co-owner of Eagles Roost Campground, Huddleston. He was a
veteran of World War II, having served in the Navy, a member of the Rotary,
was a graduate of Susquehanna University, and was a member of the Phi Mu
Delpha Fraternity. He is survived by his wife, Roseltha (Wally) Waldron
Cosgrove; three sons, Donald J. Cosgrove, Richmond, Steven A.Cosgrove,
Blacksburg, William R. Cosgrove, Vinton; a daughter, Christine Eisenmann,
Irving, Texas; a sister, Harriett Lovaglio, North Bergen, N.J.; a brother,
George A. Cosgrove Jr., Mt. Tabor, N.J.; several nieces and nephews. A
memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, September 7, 1993, at 2 p.m. from
the Updike Funeral Chapel, Huddleston, by the Rev. Wayne Murphy. The family
requests that those wishing to make memorials, please consider the Huddleston
and Moneta Rescue Squad or to the charity of your choice.
