OBIT GRUBB, THOMAS LEON

GRUBB, Thomas Leon ("Tommy"), 60, of 420 Peppers Ferry Road, Wytheville, died Saturday, September 4, 1993, in the Wythe County Community Hospital. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Joyce M. Thomas Grubb of Wytheville; two daughters and son-in-law, Linda and David White of Max Meadows, Becky Grubb of Augusta, Ga.; his mother, Cynthia Robinson Grubb of Wytheville; stepson and daughter-in-law, David and Sammi Thomas of Max Meadows; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Larry Sharitz of Wytheville; granddaughter, Shannon White; stepgranddaughters, Tena Dix, Michelle Dix, Jessica Thomas, Michelle White; stepgrandson, Mitchell White; one brother, Russell Grubb of Sacramento, Calif. Funeral services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Grubb Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Vaughan Earl Hartsell and the Rev. Joseph Brookshire, with the interment to follow in the Berea Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Grubb Funeral Home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. The Grubb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
