OBIT PUCKETT, MILFORD LYNN
PUCKETT, Milford Lynn, 88, of Bland, died Sunday morning, September 5,
1993, in Kegley Manor. He was born in Russel County on February 7, 1905, a son
of the late Fannie Kiser. He was a retired employee of the Bland Correctional
Center. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cansada Taylor Puckett and a
daughter, Mrs. Eddie (Joyce) Mustard. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs.
Olen (Beulah) Hall and Mrs. Garland (Christine) King, both of Bland, Mrs.
Elizabeth P. Richardson of Bastian, Mrs. Bernard (Louise) Hagan of Dublin and
Mrs. Danny (Sue) Neff of Staunton; three sons, Clarence M. Puckett of Bland,
Milford E. Puckett of Panama City, Fla. and William Ray Puckett of Bland; two
sisters, Blanche S. Antolla of Tampa, Fla. and Velva Breeding of Clinchfield;
25 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 1993, at the Newberry
Funeral Home in Bland, with interment in the Temple Hill Cemetery. The family
will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday. Newberry
Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
