ARTS PROGRAM OCT. 9 IN NARROWS

The "Arts Creation on Location" program in Narrows will be hosted by the town of Narrows and Progress in Narrows Now on Oct. 9, starting at 10 a.m. This is the second year for the unique event where artists create art works of Mill Pond on site. They may work anywhere in the park that surrounds the pond.

At 5 p.m., completed artwork must be submitted for judging in the youth or adult category. Cash prizes will be awarded right after the judging.

The deadline for registering is Oct. 1. There is no entry fee. To register, send your name, address, phone number and category to Jean Mullins, 109 Bland St., Narrows, Va. 24124. For more information, call 726-7379.
