NEW RIVER RAMBLE SCHEDULED SEPT. 23

The second New River Ramble, a regional business and industry social event, will be held on Sept. 23 at 4 p.m. at the Long Way Home amphitheater just off exit 105 from Interstate 81.

Pit-cooked barbecue and catfish and live entertainment will be featured. "With a statewide election this November, I wouldn't be surprised to find a little campaigning there, too," said Doug Bowman, chairman of the event for the Economic Development Committee of the Radford Chamber of Commerce.

Cost is $16 per person for reservations before Sept. 17 and $18 later. Tickets may be purchased from the Chambers of Commerce in Radford and Pulaski. Tickets will not be available at the door. For more information, call 639-2202 or 980-1991.
