MONTGOMERY VOTER REGISTRATION

Montgomery County residents who wish to register to vote in the Nov. 2 general election may do so Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the registrar's office in Room 220 of the County Courthouse, or:

New River Valley Mall, Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Blacksburg Recreation Department, Monday, 5-7 p.m.

Blacksburg Area Library, Sept. 14, 5-7 p.m.; Sept. 21, 5-7 p.m.

Prices Fork Elementary School, Sept. 14, 5-7 p.m.

Wades Supermarket, Christiansburg, Sept. 15, 5-7 p.m.

Hethwood Community Center No. 2, Sept. 16, 4-6 p.m.

Wal-Mart, Christiansburg, Sept. 17, 3-8 p.m.

University Mall, Blacksburg, Sept. 18, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Squires Student Center, Virginia Tech, Sept. 21, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

The registrar's office will hold additional off-site and Saturday hours through Oct. 2. The deadline to register or make address changes is Oct. 4.

For absentee voters, the registrar's office will be open Oct. 23 and Oct. 30, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The last day to receive applications for mail ballots will be Oct. 28, and Oct. 30 is the last day for in-person absentee voting. Call 382-5741.
