OBIT BOWIE, ROBERT DUNCANSON

BOWIE, Robert Duncanson, 80, of the Elks National Home, Bedford, and formerly of Roanoke, died Sunday, August 29, 1993, in the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Danville on August 26, 1913, a son of the late Allen H. Bowie and Ella May Womble. He was retired from the Radford Army Ammunition Plant and was the husband of the late Margaret Moir Bowie. Survivors include his daughter, Barbara B. Skeens, Kingsport, Tenn.; two stepsons, John Peek, Plano, Texas, RalphPeek, Bowling Green, Ohio; also one grandson and one great-grandson. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, September 10, 1993, at 1 p.m. at the Elks National Home Lodge Room. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Patrick Henry Girls Home of Bedford, Route 6, Bedford, Va. 24523.
