CATAWBA WOMAN'S CONDITION SERIOUS FOLLOWING CRASH

A woman who was injured in a three-car crash Monday on Bent Mountain in Roanoke County was listed in very serious condition Tuesday evening at Roanoke Memorial Hospital's neuro-trauma unit.

Michelle Fisher, 27, of Catawba, was injured in a crash about 4:40 p.m. on U.S. 221 near Twelve O'Clock Knob Road.

Dennis Robinson, 38, of Roanoke, and Michael Allen, age and address unknown, also were hospitalized after the accident. Robinson was listed in serious condition Monday at Roanoke Memorial's intensive-care unit. Allen was in stable condition.

Roanoke County police said Fisher and another motorist, Allan Ham, 27, of Roanoke County, were driving up the mountain when a vehicle driven by Robinson, who was heading in the other direction, crossed the center line and struck their vehicles.

Allen was a passenger in Robinson's car. Ham was taken to the hospital Monday but not admitted.
