2 CHARGED WITH MURDER IN JAMES JORDAN KILLING

Two suspects in the murder of basketball star Michael Jordan's father were indicted Tuesday.

A Robeson County grand jury indicted Daniel Andre Green and Larry Martin Demery, both 18, WRAL-TV reported.

Each was charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Law enforcement officials said Demery and Green robbed and killed James Jordan on July 23 while he was sleeping in his car off U.S. 74 in Robeson County. Authorities said the pair dumped Jordan's body in a creek near McColl, S.C. Jordan's car was found later in a wooded area near Fayetteville. - Associated Press
