Ground was broken for the center last month.
The steering committee for the center project recommended last month that the facility be named in honor of the late Louisa P. Chrisley.
The School Board will decide on whether to accept the name at its 7 p.m. meeting in the county Administration Building. The school system's administrative staff will recommend approval.
The board also will get an update on the opening of schools for the 1993-94 year and an overview from principals of their plans for the new academic year.
It will get an update on the Coalition for Equity in Educational Funding lawsuit seeking more money for rural school districts, and consider declaring several properties surplus and turning them over to the county. The properties include the former Jefferson Elementary School in Pulaski, which closed at the end of the 1992-93 year, and property in the Ingles Magisterial District near the County Garage.
