OBIT WILBOURNE, WILLIAM E.

WILBOURNE, William E. ("Bill"), 70, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, September 7, 1993, in a local hospital. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of First Baptist Church, and a retired employee of J. C. Penney, Valley View Mall. Survivors include his wife, Katherine Karnes Wilbourne; daughter and son-in-law, Donna Wilbourne and Jerry Holcomb, Roanoke; granddaughter, Kelli Elizabeth Holcomb, Roanoke; sisters, Margaret W. Harrell, Salem, Thelma W. Allman, Roanoke, Edna W. Hall, Vinton, Gladys W. Pruett, Roanoke; a special friend, Kenneth Colwell, Vinton. A funeral service will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel, 3 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 1993, with the Rev. John D. Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
