OBIT DAVIS, JULIA MILLIRONS

DAVIS, Julia Millirons, 86, of Pearisburg, died Monday, September 6, 1993, in the Meadowbrook Nursing Home, Shawsville, following a long illness. Mrs. Davis was a life long member of the Pearisburg Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the Hoechst-Celanese Corp. She was born in Bland County, Virginia on July 19, 1907 and was a daughter of the late Robert Lee Millirons and Annie Kate King Millirons. She was the widow of Terry C. Davis Sr. She is survived by one son, Terry C. Davis Jr. of Auburn, Ala.; two daughters, Christine D. Robinson of Christiansburg, Loretta D. Compton of Pearisburg; three brothers, G. Lewis Millirons of Pearisburg, Robert L. Millirons of Bland, John D. Millirons of Waynesboro; one sister, Annie M. Hancock of Wytheville; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Givens Funeral Chapel, Pearisburg, with the Rev. Wilson Conwell officiating, with burial in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, National Headquarters, 919 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1000, Chicago, Ill. 60611. Please specify either research or family patient education fund.
