OBIT FLOYD, ROBERT HENRY

FLOYD, Robert Henry, 95, of Buena Vista, died Tuesday, September 7, 1993 in the Shenandoah Valley Health Care Center, Buena Vista. Mr. Floyd was born on July 14, 1898, in Rockbridge County, Va., a son of the late James Marion Floyd and Mary Ellen Southers Floyd. He was a member of the McCutchen Presbyterian Church and a retired beef farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Hartless Floyd and a son, Earl Houston Floyd. Surviving are nine daughters, Bertha F. Landefeld, Columbus, Ohio, Gladys F. Little, Gahanna, Ohio, Meta F. Loudermilk, Akron Ohio, Alice F. Myers, Columbus, Ohio, Louise F. Weber, Gahanna, Ohio, Magdalene F. Traster, Columbus, Ohio, Mildred F. Stickley, Starkville, Miss., Eula F. Wade, Richboro, Penn., and Peggy F. Blankenship, Carmichael, Calif; two sisters, Margaret Harris, Columbus, Ohio, Grace Mutispaugh, Roanoke; one brother, Joseph Floyd, Buena Vista; eighteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, September 10, 1993 at 2 p.m. at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Lee V. Ruckman officiating. Burial to follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service.
