OBIT SAUNDERS, ROBERT CLEAVES

SAUNDERS, Robert Cleaves, 90, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 1993. He was a member of the Williamson Road Church of the Brethren; and was a graduate of Dartmouth College and retired from the Federal Aviation Agency, San Guam, Puerto Rico. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Milbry M. Saunders; son, Robert C. Saunders and wife, Ginny, Asheville, N.C.; stepson, C. Gregg Flora, Lexington, N.C.; stepdaughter, Sue F. Thompson and husband Glen, Roanoke; grandchildren, Cathy, Janet, Laura and Robert C. Saunders III, Peter G., Robert C., Carol A. Flora. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 10, 1993, with the Rev. Harold S. Moyer officiating. Burial will be Daleville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
