OBIT SEYMOUR, ROBERT WILLIAM
SEYMOUR, Robert William, 73, of Pembroke, died Tuesday, September 7, 1993
in the VA Medical Center, Salem, Va. Born in Circleville, Ohio, on May 21,
1920, he was a son of the late William and Lillian Bowman Seymour. He was a
retired career officer with the U. S. Air Force, a member of the Pembroke
Christian Church, where he served as Elder and Recording Treasurer. Mr.
Seymour was a member of Eggleston Lodge AF and AM #0309, Pearis Chapter #124,
Order of the Eastern Star; past patron Pearis Chapter, OES. He was the grand
representative to Quebec from Virginia,OES; Grand Sentinel of the Grand
Chapter of Virginia, 1991 and 1992, OES. He was a member of the Roanoke
Chapter of the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, a member of the Kazim Temple of
Roanoke and a life time member of Knights Templer Eye Foundation. He is
survived by his wife, Margaret S. Seymour; a step daughter, Louise S. Barton
and husband Doyle, Radford; step mother, Mrs. Virginia Seymour, Richcreek; six
step grandchildren; and six step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death
by a brother, Paul and sister, Dorothy. Funeral servicse will be conducted
Friday, September 10, 1993 at 2 p.m. in the Pembroke Chrstian Church, with the
Rev. Barry Franklin officiating. The family will receive friends at the
Kendall Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m.
