OBIT SPANGLER, RODNEY WELLS
SPANGLER, Rodney Wells, 15, of Flick Drive, Shawsville, died Tuesday
evening, September 7, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. Surviving are his father,
Tony D. Spangler, Shawsville; his mother, Patricia D. Spangler, Fairlawn;
three half brothers, Adam, Matthew and Derek Spangler, all of Fairlawn; his
maternal grandparents, Alton D. Brookman and Geraldine L. Brookman, both of
Christiansburg; paternal grandparents, David B. Spangler, Pulaski, Joyce B.
Spangler, Christiansburg; maternal great-grandmother, Frances Lyons,
Elizabethton, Tenn.; paternal great-grandmothers, Sue Spangler, Frankie Boyd,
both of Christiansburg; aunts and uncles, Ann Brookman, Laura Cook, Nancy
Cooper, Julie Williams, Keith and Dawn Brookman, Tanya and Gary Hall. The
funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday at the graveside in Sunset Cemetery in
Christiansburg, conducted by the Rev. George Bulson. The family will receive
friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home. In
lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Christiansburg
Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 176, Christiansburg, VA 24073. Arrangements are being
handled by Richardson-Horne in Christiansburg.
