CREWS, Doris Mae Gross Guffey, 78, of Richmond, formerly of Roanoke, passed
away Tuesday, September 7, 1993. Surviving are her husband, Gilmer Crews;
three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas J. (Jack) and Brenda Guffey, Vinton;
Sherman L. and Brenda Guffey, Richmond, James Edward and Norma Guffey,
Richmond; six stepchildren, George Crews, Edward Crews, Curtis Crews, Anne
Ford, Renea Davis, and Stella Strader; one brother, Carl A. (Pat) Gross,
Roanoke; two sisters, Edith Funk, Boones Mill, Ethel Overstreet, Roanoke; six
grandchildren; 16 stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 18
stepgreat-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at
Sherwood Memorial Park. The Rev. Irvin W. Sloan will officiate. Friends may
call at Lotz Vinton Chapel.
