OBIT MUSGROVE, EVA CULLEN
MUSGROVE, Eva Cullen, 85, died Tuesday, September 7, 1993, at her home in
Buena Vista. She was born in Greenville, Va., September 2, 1908, the daughter
of the late Walter L. Cullen and Ollie Myrtle Cullen. She was a retired
elementary school teacher in Virginia. She completed her under graduate
education at Radford University and received her Graduate Degree from the
University of Virginia. She was also a Remedial Reading Teacher. From 1952 to
1957, she taught overseas at Bad Nauheim, Germany and Paris in the American
Schools. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Hester Stamper, Mrs.
Edna Elliott and Mrs. Ada Lackey; one brother, Lewis Cullen; and a niece,
Marjorie Cullen Armentrout. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Benn,
Houston, Texas, Mrs. Marguerite Cullen, Buena Vista; three nieces and six
nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, September 10,
1993, at the St. John's United Methodist Church of which she was a lifelong
member. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 9
a.m. Thursday, September 9, 1993, at the Lomax Funeral Home. Memorials may be
given to the St. John's United Methodist Church, Buena Vista, Va. 24416 or
Rockbridge Area Hospice, P.O. Box 948, Lexington, Va. 24450.
