Another 19-year-old, Recondall Wiggins, sobbed in court as he was ordered held without bond on first-degree murder and attempted robbery charges Thursday. Police looked for his girlfriend, Patsy Jones, who's suspected of pulling the trigger.
Wiggins - who's been arrested five times since he was 17 on charges of aggravated assault, burglary and grand larceny - confessed to driving the van that bumped Uwe-Wilhelm Rakebrand's rental car in a confrontation that left him dead at the wheel, said police Detective Carlos Avila.
Rakebrand, 33, is the eighth foreign tourist - the fourth German - killed in Florida in a year. Widespread reforms intended to make tourists less vulnerable and telltale rental cars less obvious were unable to save him. A top German travel official told his countrymen Thursday "don't go to Miami." - Associated Press
