BLACKSBURG TURNS BACK TAZEWELL

Freshman guard Meadow Overstreet and senior forward Meredith Price sank key free throws in the final minute Thursday to help Blacksburg beat Tazewell 52-48 in a non-district girls' basketball game.

The Indians led 18-8 after the first quarter, but Tazewell kept closing the gap. Junior forward Lisa Price led Blacksburg (3-1) with 13 points.
