OBIT MANLEY, STARKES DILLARD
MANLEY, Starkes Dillard, 76, of Lexington, died Wednesday, September 8,
1993, at his residence. Mr. Manley was born in Rockbridge County, on March 12,
1917, a son of the late Charlie Manley and Eva Ethel Eubank Manley. He was a
member of the Lauderdale A.R.P. Church, Lexington, and a retired custodian
from Washington and Lee University. Mr. Manley is survived by his wife, Edna
P. Manley, Lexington; one son, Bobby S. Manley, Victoria; three sisters, Clara
B. Woods, Buena Vista, Edria L. Johnson, Lexington, Josephine Nicely,
Lexington; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services
will be conducted Saturday, September 11, 1993, at 11 a.m. from the graveside
at the Stonewall Jackson Cemetery with Rev. Zeb Carson Williams officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lauderdale A.R.P.
Church or the American Lung Association. The family will receive friends
Friday night from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Funeral Home, Lexington.
