OBIT PIERANNUNZI, VITO L.
PIERANNUNZI, Vito L., 71, of Roanoke, died Thursday, September 9, 1993. He
was a retired Lt. Col. in the U.S. Army, serving in the 10th Mountain Division
during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island with
degrees in Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering. Mr. Pierannunzi was an
avid private pilot and was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church. He was
retired from Timber Truss, Inc. Surviving is his wife, Nina Pierannunzi; his
children, V. Paul Pierannunzi, Charlotte, N.C., Christine Yates, Richmond,
Carol Pierannunzi, Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers; three sisters; eight
grandchildren. Services will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 7 p.m.
Sunday. The Rev. Randy Rule will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood
Cemetery, Richmond, Va., 1 p.m. Monday. A prayer service will be at Oakey's
North Chapel 7 p.m. Saturday. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel after 2
p.m. Saturday, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
