HARMON, Lelon D., 81, of Hillsville, passed away Friday, September 10,
1993, at his home. He was born May 27, 1912, to Mack Harmon and Bertha
Jennings Harmon. He is survived by his wife, Ilene Harmon; daughters and
sons-in-law, Nancy Peterson, Knoxville, Tenn., Brenda and George Rohe,
Charlotte, N.C., Kathy and Douglas Fields, Mars Hill, N.C.; sisters, Wilma
Davis, Galax and Cleda Brehaut, Salem; brothers, Guy Harmon, Woodlawn, Benton
Harmon, Orlando, Fla., and Carson Harmon, Salem; granddaughters, Anna Cormier,
Sara Cormier, both of Knoxville, Tenn., Allison Rohe Waters, Augusta, Ga.,
Laura Rohe, Charlotte, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday,
September 12, 1993, at the Hillsville First United Methodist Church, with Rev.
Nathan Malone and Rev. Mike Hubble officiating. Burial in the Wilkinson
Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be
made to the Hillsville Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 775, Hillsville, Va.
24343. The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the
Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville. Funeral arrangements are being
handled by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville. Masonic rites by the
Hillsville Masonic Lodge #193.
