OBIT MOSES, HANNAH A.
MOSES, Hannah A., ("H.A."), 91, a life-long resident of Roanoke and a
merchant for over 75 years, died Friday, September 10, 1993, in a local
hospital. He was the owner/operator of the family businesses Sanitary
Supermarket and Melrose Hardware. Mr. Moses was a member of St. Andrews
Catholic Church and also participated in the activities of St. Elias Maronite
Catholic Church. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Holy Name
Society of St. Andrews. Surviving are his wife, Mary Murray Moses; two sons,
Joseph H. Moses, Gambrills, Md., John A. Moses, Westminster, Colo.; two
daughters, Mary Frances Rieger, Williamsburg, R. Theresa Worden, Culpeper;
nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Andrew J. Moses,
Blytheville, Ark, Abraham P. Moses, Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Nora A.
Moses, Mary C. Moses, both of Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews. A
prayer service will be conducted 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted 11:15 a.m. Monday at St. Andrews
Catholic Church by the Rev. Father Joseph Metzger. Interment will follow in
St. Andrews Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Oakey's Roanoke.
