WYTHE UNITED WAY TO HOLD RADIOTHON

The United Way of Wythe County will hold a radiothon on WYVE from 1 to 6 p.m. today to publicize its activities and raise some money for its 1994 fund drive.

During the radiothon, for a minimum donation of $5, listeners can request any country, bluegrass or gospel song in the station's library and dedicate it in memory or honor of a friend or loved one.

There will be interviews with representatives of the 33 partner agencies funded by United Way.

The United Way launched its 1994 drive last week with a parade through Wytheville and Del. Tom Jackson, D-Hillsville, as grand marshal.

Other planned United Way activities include a golf tournament Oct. 1.
