40 YEARS SERVICE

Brigadier General Rodney W. McNeil retired from the Virginia Army National Guard on July 15, 1993. His last assignment was Assistant Division Commander of the 29th Infantry Division. BG McNeil is the owner of I.N. McNeil Roofing and Sheet Metal Company in Roanoke County. He is married to the former Norma Updike. They have two daughters, Mitzi Martin and Rhonda Gladston; and two granddaughters, Kendal Martin and Kelsey Martin that also reside in Roanoke. A reception was held in honor of BG McNeil at the Vinton War Memorial on September 10, 1993.
