OBIT ABBOTT, PEARL GAY

ABBOTT, Pearl Gay, 94, of New Castle, passed away Saturday, September 11, 1993, at Berkshire Healthcare Center. Born on July 3, 1899, she was the daughter of the late Robert Preston and Sallie Custer Abbott. She was a member of Mountain View Christian Church. She was preceded in death by five brothers, C. D. Abbott, L. I. Abbott, E. M. Abbott, W. B. Abbott and E. T. Abbott. Surviving are three sisters-in-law, Lucille Abbott of Roanoke, Letha Abbott and Clarice Abbott, both of New Castle; nieces, nephews and cousins; special cousin, Crystal Pettyjohn. Funeral services will be conducted at Mountain View Christian Church Monday, September 13, 1993, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at Boitnott Funeral Home Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m.
