A: At 19 (last June 5), Allen is a TV veteran. He made his debut in commercials with twin sister Charity when they were 8. He's had recurring roles in ``St. Elsewhere,'' (Dr. Westphall's autistic son), ``Webster,'' (Webster's best friend) and regular roles in ``Our House'' and ``My Two Dads.'' He's also done TV movies and series guest roles. Write: CBS-TV, 7800 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, Calif., 90036.
Q: I'm a huge fan of ``Homefront,'' starring Kyle Chandler, Tammy Lauren, Mimi Kennedy, etc. After seeing the season finale, I got the impression that it will not be returning this fall. Can this be true? - L.V., Turnersville, N.J.
A: It's true. Chandler, for one, had no trouble finding a new job. He's one of the stars of ABC's ``North and South III: Heaven and Hell,'' the conclusion of John Jakes' Civil War saga due to be seen in the 1993-94 season.
Q: Richard Lewis is a very funny fellow and I miss seeing him since ``Anything But Love'' was dropped. Will he be reappearing soon for our viewing pleasure? If so, where and when? - P.R., King Of Prussia, Pa.
A: There's a double dose of Lewis available. He's the nerdy Prince John in Mel Brooks' movie spoof ``Robin Hood: Men in Tights'' and in a new Fox sitcom, ``Daddy Dearest'' with Don Rickles. He plays Rickles' divorced son. The two become roommates when Rickles' wife kicks him out.
Q: Update me on what Valerie Bertinelli is doing. Any chance of my two favorite Bertinelli movies, ``I'll Take Manhattan'' and ``If Tomorrow Comes,'' being repeated? I can't find these two in video stores. - K.C., Tustin, Calif.
A: CBS' favorite girl has switched to NBC. Bertinelli has a new sitcom, ``Cafe American,'' due this fall. She plays the manager of a Paris cafe. ``Manhattan'' and ``Tomorrow'' aren't movies. They were two-part miniseries which are rarely repeated and rarely issued on tape. There are no videos of the two minis.
Q: Settle this dispute between my mother and me: Who played Quentin on the ``Dark Shadows'' series one and two? - T.K. Jr., Hubbard, Ohio.o
A: David Selby played Quentin Collins on the daytime serial version of ``Dark Shadows.'' He went on to become better known as Richard Channing on ``Falcon Crest.'' There was no character of Quentin in the 1971 prime-time version of ``Dark Shadows.''
Q: What has happened to Phyllicia Rashad since ``The Cosby Show''? Why has she disappeared? - A:K.S., Decatur, Ga.
A: She hasn't disappeared. She spent a year resting from the rigors of filming the weekly ``Cosby Show'' and turning down offers of roles too much like Claire Huxtable. In June, she joined the Broadway show ``Jelly's Last Jam.''
Q: Why are there no ``Hopalong Cassidy'' films being shown on any of the TV networks? - R.J., Anaheim, Calif.
A: Back in television's flickering black-and-white early days, Hoppy was a mainstay, filling endless hours on local stations before networks started filling the hours. William Boyd, who was Hoppy, wisely had obtained for himself the television rights to the character and the old movie westerns, something most actors never thought of. He also made some new films for TV and merchandised Hopalong Cassidy into a fortune. He died in 1972. As TV audiences became more sophisticated and more product was made for TV, the early stalwarts faded from view. The Hopalong Cassidy series still is available to TV and could resurface on cable.
Q: I've rediscovered ``Streets of San Francisco'' in reruns. How many years was it on and when? - R.D., Westland, Mich.
A: ``Streets'' was first shown from 1972 to 1977. Karl Malden did the whole run but Michael Douglas departed for greater movie fame in 1976. Richard Hatch became Malden's new partner for the final season.
Q: Is Jane Seymour British? What year was she born and where? - L.O., Eagle Lake, Fla.
A: Seymour was born Feb. 15, 1951, in Wimbledon, England.
Q: I say Daniel Stern was the narrator for ``The Wonder Years.'' My husband won't believe me. - E.M., Royal Oak, Mich.
A: You say right. Stern, in the flesh, was one of the hapless crooks in the ``Home Alone'' movies and currently is director of, and a featured player in, ``Rookie of the Year.''
