OBIT WILLIS, LUCY REMINES

WILLIS, Lucy Remines, 87, of Christiansburg, died Sunday, September 12, 1993 at Heritage Hall Health Care, Blacksburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, warren A. Willis, four daughters, Linda Sparks, Shirley Willis, Helen Philpott, Winky Showalter, and one son, Joe Furrow. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Hazel and Jack Williams, and Margaret Fleming, both of Blacksburg, Riby and Jack Gallagher, Newport; three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Evelyn Wills, Roanoke, L. L. Furrow and Rosco and Talma Furrow, both of Christiansburg; one stepson, Jack Willis, Blacksburg; one sister, Lula Barnett, Lima, Ohio; thirty-three grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 1993, 11 a.m. at Gateway Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dewey O. Weaver Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at McCoy Funeral Home.
