OBIT WIMMER, JAMES HAROLD

WIMMER, James Harold, 62, of Marion, died Sunday, September 12, 1993 in the V. A. Hospital in Salem, Va. He was a member of the Blackwell Chapel Union Church. Mr. Wimmer was a life time member of the Saltville Rescue Squad, a member of the Marion VFW Post #4667, a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, and retired from the U. S. Air Force. He is survived by three sons, Roger Wimmer, Colonial Heights, James Edward Wimmer, New Castle, Bruce David Wimmer, Wirtz; two daughters, Lori Leah Berry, Chilhowie, Melinda Wimmer Combow, Christiansburg; three brothers, William Eugene Wimmer Jr., Salem, Clyde Wimmer, Manassas, Kyle Edward Wimmer Sr., Poquoson; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, in the D. R. Henderson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Mount Rose Cemetery with a military graveside service conducted by Marion VFW Post #4667. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at Henderson's Funeral Home, Saltville.
