GERONTOLOGY FORUM

Virginia Tech's Center for Gerontology will hold the first of its fall series of lunchtime forums Wednesday at noon in 150 Squires Student Center on the Virginia Tech campus.

Elizabeth Howze, associate professor of health and physical education, will lead a panel, "We're Strong Women and We're Just Now Realizing It: Women, Health and Aging in Central Appalachia."

She will be joined by Elizabeth Fine, associate professor of Appalachian studies; Rachel Holloway, assistant professor of communications studies; Carol Bailey, assistant professor of sociology; Angela Neilan, Extension specialist in leadership development; Kathleen Stadler, extension specialist in human nutrition and foods; Barbara Board, Extension specialist in 4-H; as well as graduate students Theresa Conti, Theresa Garvin and Rosie Castaneda.

The forum is scheduled to run one hour. Attendees supply their own lunches. Call 231-6817.
