OBIT LARGEN, MARION MARSHALL

LARGEN, Marion Marshall, 94, of Laurel Fork, died on Monday afternoon, September 13, 1993, at the Laurel Meadows Nursing Home in Laurel Fork. She was the widow of Lee Largen. Mrs. Largen was born in Carroll County January 11, 1899, daughter of the late John W. and Ola Huff Marshall. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. June Bottoms of Madison Heights and Mrs. Coretta Marshall of Hillsville; one son, Rev. Marshall Largen of Laurel Fork; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one half sister, Mrs. Geneva Sayers of Aiken, S.C. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Stone Mountain Baptist Church with services conducted by the Rev. Chriss Moore and Pastor Duane Steele. Interment will follow in the Marion-Marshall Cemetery. Her body will be taken to the Church on Tuesday afternoon at 5 p.m. from the Moody Funeral Home of Mt. Airy where she will remain for the funeral service.
