Grammy-winning folk singer Shawn Colvin married her tour manager and sound engineer, Simon Tassano, in a weekend ceremony at Twentynine Palms, Calif. David Crosby was among the guests.

Colvin's current album, "Fat City," produced the hit single "I Don't Know Why."

Author Stephen King and his wife, Tabitha, have purchased a 32-acre lot on western Maine's Kezar Lake, where they have a summer home.

The property sold for just under $750,000 in a deal completed Saturday, said the former owner, Cheryl McBain Iwamoto of Boxford, Mass.

"It's probably the prettiest piece of property on Kezar Lake," Iwamoto said.

King, author of horror novels such as "Misery" and "Needful Things," has a year-round home in Bangor.
