SULLIVAN WINS GOLF CROWN

Chip Sullivan, assistant and teaching professional at Hanging Rock Golf Club in Salem, shot a two-day total of 141 to win the Mid-Atlantic PGA Southern Chapter Championship at Spottswood Country Club in Harrisonburg.

Sullivan shot a 72 Monday and a 69 Tuesday to win the event at the par-71 course.

Tim Holbrook of Hidden Valley Country Club in Salem finished third at 145.
