VIRGINIA BLANKS RADFORD IN FIELD HOCKEY

At Radford, Kelly Dadonna scored two goals and added an assist as Virginia downed the Highlanders 4-0 in women's field hockey. The Cavaliers (1-2-1) are ranked 14th nationally. Radford dropped to 0-4-1.

At Salem, Randolph-Macon blanked Roanoke College 3-0 in women's soccer. Lisa Beightol, Julie McCrary and Kim Myers had goals for the winners (3-1 overall, 2-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference).

Kenny Howell scored the lone goal for Ferrum as Eastern Mennonite edged the Panthers 2-1 in a men's soccer match in Harrisonburg. The Royals (3-3) scored two goals in the first half to capture the win. Ferrum is 1-2.

Brian Agee of Northside shot a 73 and tied Ryan Ketron of William Byrd for the individual medalist title as the Vikings won a Blue Ridge District golf match at Botetourt Country Club.

Northside had the low score of 305. William Byrd was four shots back at 309, followed by Lord Botetourt (316), Rockbridge County (327), Salem (331) and Alleghany (337).

Seven players scored as undefeated Roanoke Valley Christian downed Carlisle 10-0 in a boys' soccer match in Martinsville. The Eagles are 2-0 overall, 1-0 in the Virginia Independent Conference. Carlisle is 0-2, 0-2.
