BOOK SIGNING

Lynn Davis and Bruce W. Muncy will sign copies of their latest book, the second edition of ``Bed & Breakfast and Unique Inns of Virginia,'' Saturday (Sept. 18) from 1 to 3 p.m. at Books, Strings and Things on the Roanoke City Market.

It features color photographs and descriptions of 57 B&Bs in 38 Virginia localities. Muncy is the photographer. Davis wrote the text.

The book costs $19.95 and includes a map showing the B&Bs in relation to major highways, tips on how to select an inn, amenities, activities, prices and reservation policies.

It also has a list of the more than 400 such establishments in the state, along with reservation services and tourist promotion agencies.

The book's first edition sold out its printing of 20,000 copies. The new edition features 31 new inns and updated information on others. It's published by Crystal Spring Publishing of Roanoke. Two years ago the authors issued a similar guide to the inns and B&Bs of Pennsylvania.
