A nurse is president of lung association
The American Lung Association of Virginia, Roanoke Region, has elected officers for the 1993-94 fiscal year.
Nancy Harvey, a registered nurse, is the president, and Dr. Paul F. White and Brenda Williams, a registered nurse, are first and second vice presidents.
New board of directors members include: Josephine Currie, Nelson Greene, Gary Kirby and Bruce Young, all of of Roanoke; Jing W. Liu and Regina Rackow, both of Salem; and Andre A. Muelenaer of Daleville.
The association provides educational programs and services in Radford, Roanoke, Salem and Martinsville, and Botetourt, Roanoke, Craig, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Henry, Montgomery, Patrick, Pulaski counties.
Junior league elects officers for 1993-94
Valeta Pittman has been elected president of the Junior League of Valeta Roanoke Valley.
Other officers elected are: Suzn Head, president-elect; Ginny Allison, recording secretary; Ann Litz, corresponding secretary; Sara Breedie, treasurer; Leslie Magee, membership vice president; Lin Scruggs, community vice president; and Sue Given, marketing vice president.
The Junior League of Roanoke Valley identifies community needs and launches programs along with other community organizations to meet them.
