LIBRARY READING CLUB FOR CHILDREN STARTED

The Christiansburg Headquarters Library, 125 Shelton St., is starting a Fall Reading Club for children ages 5 and older. From now till Oct. 31, children will earn postage stamps for every book they read.

On Sept. 27, philatelist Tony Conner will show children how to start a postage stamp collection. Art Duarte, Christiansburg postmaster, will meet with club members on Oct. 18 to tell children what happens to letters after they are mailed.
