SALEM ROUTED BY LAUREL PARK

Tanesha Hairston and Torsheda Dillard scored 18 points each as Laurel Park overpowered host Salem 64-41 in a non-district girl's basketball game Wednesday night. The Lancers outscored the Spartans 18-6 in the final quarter.

Toy Perkins added 13 points for Laurel Park.

Shellie Johnson had 11 points for Salem. \

\ Blacksburg 65, George Wythe 19: In Wytheville, Lisa Price scored 20 points as the Indians pounded the Maroons in non-district action.

Mary Thorn added 11 points and Meredith Braine chipped in 10 as Blacksburg (5-1) led throughout.

Lisa Garland scored 13 points for George Wythe (1-4).
