\ THE ASSOCIATION FOR RETARDED CITIZENS has received a $9,000 grant from the Knights of Virginia Assistance for the Retarded.
ARC will purchase a heat tunnel for an L-sealer with the funds, which will enable ARC to serve more companies in the valley by wrapping merchandise and other products in cellophane for future distribution and sale.
ARC, a United Way agency, employs and trains approximately 130 mentally and, in some cases, physically disabled adults.
