OBIT PARR, ESTHER WOODIE EPPERLY

PARR, Esther Woodie Epperly, 81, of Salem, died Wednesday, September 15, 1993, in a Roanoke hospital. She was the daughter of the late William Jacob and Alma Martin Epperly of Riner, and the widow of Frank B. Parr of Salem. She was a member of the Salem Baptist Church and for the past several years a resident of Wheatland Hills Retirement Center in Radford. Survivors include a brother, William Curtis Epperly and his wife, Mary Helen, Wythevile; two sisters-in-law, Mayme Morris Epperly, Radford, Zelpha Parr Comer, Salem; a stepdaughter, Joyce Parr Blevins and her husband, Jimmy; a stepgrandson, Chris Blevins; two nieces, Sherri Helen Epperly, Knoxville, Tenn., Louise Simmons Puryear and her husband, Bill, Salem; two nephews, Fred B. Myers, New York City, Rev. Richard Epperly Myers and his wife, Frances, Spartanburg, S.C. Graveside services will be held Friday, September 17, 11 a.m., in Sunset Cemetery, Christiansburg, with the Rev. Will Robbins officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salem Baptist Church or the Salem Rescue Squad. Arrangements are being handled by Richardson-Horne Funeral Home, Christiansburg.
